Early large French Limoges Enamel Painting on copper Plaque probably 18th Century or older, depicting a noble woman in late renaissance attire. This is a large early enamel painting on copper French Limoges Enameled Plaque Housed in a gilt Baroque Frame. The piece probably dates to the 18th century, but could be earlier. The enamel painting is secured into the frame with leather that has been shaped and glued into place. The leather is very brittle with age, but is intact.The enamel work is exceptional and the plaque itself measures over two feet in height. Framed it measures 44.5"H x 24"W 44.5"H x 24"W
